Sponsoring EAA-National Airplane Rides
Sponsors of EAA-National help to support our EAA Chapter 180, local to Sarasota / Bradenton, by making significant contributions that partially offset the cost of our Chapter's hosting this flying air tours event for the general public's education and enjoyment.
EAA Chapter 180 hosts these air tours to bring rare and unique historical aircraft to Sarasota / Bradenton for the general public to view, learn about, and to experience the exhilaration of riding in them.
On February 5,6,7, and 8 the B-17 bomber and the Ford Tri-Motor airliner will be at Sarasota / Bradenton International Airport (KSRQ) and be available for rides for the general public as well as special group rides during the day and at sunset. These aircraft have extremely powerful round engines, thus the name of this event is: Round-engine Aircraft Rides Event.
Seven growling round engines roaring to go fly! Three in the Ford Tri-Motor (the first commercially produced airliner - 1929) and four powering the B-17 bomber.
